30 cm Plain Stewpot with Handles
These stewpots are meant for cooking, commonly octopus or marmalade, but they can be used for many other dishes, or even for beer brewing. They are entirely made of copper (inside and outside) except for their handles (brass) or the arch (iron).
The stewpots are not tinned inside and for that reason you must take the food out after it is ready, so that the copper doesn't oxide and the food doesn't acquire toxins.
In southern Portugal and Spanish gastronomy it is a tradition to cook the octopus in a copper stewpot, so it gains a characteristic taste.
All stewpots have a flat bottom and they can be used on ceramic hobs, gas or wood stove. You should never use them on induction hobs.
Cleaning: To maintain cleanness, brightness and quality of the copper, so it does not get dark, we suggest that you follow the cleaning and maintenance suggestions.
