It is only recommended for the distillation of spirits. See 4805 for the distillations of essential oils and hydrosols. Should you wish to measure temperatures reading in the swan neck tubing, considered at the stills highest point; please refer to 4807.
This V-shaped thermometer with a casing angle of 135º is soldered to the swan neck lid of the still client desires to purchase. The glass rod thermometer inserted inside a brass casing (soldered in the swan neck vapour chamber) will guarantee a continuous and accurate temperature reading during distillation. The temperature on the blue alcohol -Mercury Free- thermometer ranges from 0º to 110 ºC, with only a 1 ºC maximum error probability on its total scale. The upper section of the thermometer is made of aluminium anodised in a gold colour for high resistance to aggressive environments. The temperature scale is engraved on the right of this section in ºC allowing user to read temperature easily.
Please note: Thermometer should be purchased at the same time as the still , and will be delivered via regular postal mail if ordered on its own. Please allow a few days for the thermometer to be soldered on to the alembic.
