Glossary
Capsulated Corks

The capsulated cork is a natural cork stopper (or colmated), on which is placed a capsule on top. This capsule is normally manufactured in PVC. This is a cork stopper that is generally used in liquor bottles, or in spirits that are intended for almost immediate consumption. The biggest examples of this are spirits like: Port wine, Calvados, Moscatel, Whisky, Vodka, Cognac, Armagnac, Brandy and also many eau-de-vies and liquors.
The capsulated cork is very practical, as it allows for easy reuse, an important factor for bottles whose content isn't consumed all at once.
